Today the world lost an amazing author who made my small town famous. He lost his battle with cancer and is up in heaven telling his stories now. I remember all the times I've heard him speak about his perseverance to get his first book published,
A Dog Called Kitty. Even after it was rejected numerous times and took ten years to publish, it always reminded me to keep going for your dreams even if at first you don't succeed. My two favorite books would have to be
Christmas Spurs (talk about going through a box of tissues) and
Trapped in Death Cave.
